Zone, I will say this once, I don't care if I get a warning.
Shut. The. f***. Up. About. Copyright.
You know nothing about it.
Copyright is not something you must pay to obtain.
Trademarks, slogans and patents are things you must pay to own.
http://www.copyright.gov/register/Look it up moron.
You have to pay.
http://www.copyright.gov/eco/index.htmlThere may be ways to say you have you work copyrighted, but that's like saying a stick figure you make with a lollipop is copyrighted.
Let me broaden the range on this. You are going to b**** about people using your work, yet you make work using copyrighted material. You play a game that is copyrighted and people make money off of it by donations, hell you may even have one yourself, but I don't see you b**** about that.
If you find an image online, no artist name, no label or info saying "please credit me if you use this" such as finding something on yahoo or google, do you use it without giving credit to who made it? Hell no you don't.
I know as much as the webmaster at
http://www.uspto.gov said to me.
However, since everyone wants to debate what someone who works for the s*** says, fine.
I don't really care, but this b**** over some artwork is annoying, and honestly, I don't see why the hell you care.
I tell ya what, since you can "copyright" deviations of other peoples work.
I've got my own topic for my deviations, and they are copyrighted.
I might as well do as you guys do, since it's copyrighted.
I've even got my own card mods like you, cause I wanna be like the veteran you are.
Oh s***, belay my last.
http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-protect.htmlWhat does copyright protect?
Copyright, a form of intellectual property law, protects original works of authorship including literary, dramatic, musical, and artistic works, such as poetry, novels, movies, songs, computer software, and architecture. Copyright does not protect facts, ideas, systems, or methods of operation, although it may protect the way these things are expressed. See Circular 1, Copyright Basics, section "What Works Are Protected."
