The Huns are awesome with their no houses to build population bonus.
I still play AOE2 age of kings/the conquerors as often as I can, though I haven't been online with it since I don't know how.
Britons are awesome for their long archer range and the Mayans are great for their fast eagle warriors and cheap Unique Units

We still have AoE2 and AoM LANs and the stuff. The last was a couple of weeks ago.

Hate the Goths. Even thought I really don't use walls.

I used Byzantines a couple of times but never fully knew if their Logistica Tech is as effective as the description says. The trample damage sounds kool but I don't know if it actually give their cavalry a decisive edge.

Byzantines have a strong post imperial game, they're pretty diverse.. have almost every counter-unit in the game, the only downside to them is no blast fumace. but don't recommend them if you're playing heads up..

Byzantines are also a defensive civilization from what I understand, but I think the Koreans are stronger in playing defensive due to their bombard towers and their tower range
