[GM] Spirit doesn't care about his server

It's as if fate played a part in my posting of thread here, but seeing as people have left me no other option but to do it, then here goes my complaint about SoapRO's head administrator, GM Spirit.

He's done nothing for the benefit of the server for a considerable amount of time, and not only has he neglected the community, he's also neglected his staff in more ways than I'd even imagine. In a previous encounter, he was found to have taken parts from a webpage belonging to TalonRO. One of SoapRO's staff, Cheney, stepped in when Spirit did not to tackle the issue and resolve everything.

Unfortunately, Spirit's lack of involvement in SoapRO's development has not only left a server near-dead, but it's also resulted in the unproper and as of yet totally unexplained dismissal of that same individual who stuck up for their server in the time of need.

I'll also remind everyone here that as a result of hosting a server on a GM's personal computer, the server went down and remained down for a period of six months or greater. The server was finally put up, and codenamed SoapRO v3 (the name of the server's patch client).

Me having been a previous player of SoapRO feel that Spirit needs to be brought to justice not only for neglecting the server in the way that he has been, but for the people that he's driven away from the server as a result.

I'd also like to make note that even after one of their own GMs was kicked in the butt after previously hosting the server, that certain GM was using his powers to illegitimately level his character. Currently, the same individual still has GM powers on that server, out of a total of may I say 3 staff members, excluding the one who was "fired" from his position.

A concerned member of the forum posted a thread inquiring why Cheney's staff powers were removed, but all Spirit did was pretty much shrug them off stating that "This thread doesn't make sense. Cheney was never de-modded. I was in the middle of reorganizing some permissions and didn't put redoing everything on my list of things that are totally important. Anyway, it's not like there's anything to mod, so why there's even b**** is way beyond me."

As a previous player of the server, I hereby submit this thread in hopes that Spirit will once again realize that what he's done for SoapRO has not benefited the server one bit.

I'm a little confused at that too. Also, to satisfy the above posters, I'm not here to incite flame wars or anything like that, I'm just here to tell it to you like it is. I have a very close friend of mine (and by close, I mean literally) who is pretty mad with this guy right now, and would love to say something.

However, as Mamimi said, most, if not all of this, is fact. I've spent enough time watching over the server to know a dramatic one when I see it. For me, I wouldn't waste my time with the server-- I visit every so often and see what my friend sees. It's not the fact that the server is dead, but the fact that it's being run the way it is right now leaves me stupidly bewildered at the question of why didn't it die sooner.

The GM in charge of the server, Spirit, has simply stopped caring. He makes change after change to the server and does little or nothing to notify the staff, let alone the members, of what's happened. Very recently, members have reported being "dropped" (how ironic, since their slogan is "Don't Drop Us") from the server after logging in. There hasn't been an announced update since August, which, I may add, was only about their website/forums, and additionally, was posted by Cheney, the very same administrator who was demoted from his ranks on the forums for a reason people have still yet to explain in full detail, rather than just say "permission changes".

I'm actually surprised that this thread was even seen by someone other than Nightshine, but it's also nice to know that there are people that agree with me on the situation.
