Oh I agree Luna.  Some silly little girl has a grudge, so she goes onto a forum and talks about how she alone busted a server for using stolen content.  And her self-righteous hammer of justice smacked down an apology, not once, but twice.  I like you Luna, you try so hard that it is cute.  I thank you for the time we have had together and I will always cherish this day.

GotherxTiger, your inability to respond without using foul language speaks for itself.  I will leave it at that when it comes to you.

Posted on: Oct 31, 2009, 08:07 pmI just want to say that this thread/report should be dismissed.  The website was purchased which gives rightful usage of it to the buyer.  Also, any server content that may or may not have been copied from another server is a really lacking claim.  Any server can have their stuff taken, repackaged as a separate package by anyone and posted anywhere.  How can anyone say with any certainty that their server is 100% custom, especially when the game itself isn't.

This is an unfortunate and regrettable result of gathered RO packages that were used to create nlRO's client.  These packages were gathered by an independent party and given to nlRO's owner without the knowledge that the contained data in said packages was stolen content.  This situation is regrettable and all of us at nlRO are upset that this incident has marked our server with a black spot. We will strive to make up for these events and promise to make sure our content from here on is that of our own making and not that of another's, knowingly or otherwise.  Please accept these words as our utmost and sincere  apologies to the RO and eAthena community.  We are currently working on remedying this unforeseen and regrettable situation and will strive to be a better server in the present and in the future.

Thank you for your time and again our sincerest apologies to everyone.

NamelessRO is going to make their own website and grf file from here on out. Or do they intend on keeping the data and use it, knowing that it was stolen. Cause his apology, states that they are working on a remedy, yet at the same time there previous statement says that they will be doing everything by themselves here on out, implying that "oh, lets keep data but don't worry! everything else will be our own work from now on".

And since nlRO is making the rest of us administrators and server owners on RMS feeling like we got cheated, you got no right to come on RMS being all self-righteous because many of us actually put maximum effort into our server and game files. Obviously, we aren't a bunch of people who got nothing to do besides criticizing nlRO, were piss that nlRO got to skip a load of work. But I guess someone of your level of comprehendsion might know that.

So what will it be? Redo the website, data files compile by another server, and other copy-paste junk. Or keep it and take the risk making a very large number of enemies.

Let me first start of by saying "What?!" to your reply.  First of all, if you're going to get uppity, you need to learn how to spell and use better grammar.  Otherwise the uppity just comes across as uneducated rhetoric.  Also, how did I imply that we are going to keep the data file we have?  How would that even matter?  You need data files to make an RO server work (you should know that much I would think).  Like I said, anyone can repackage any servers stuff and upload it as a separate package.  That does not imply that we are going to just keep things the way they are.  We use the data we have, and change it, to make it custom, just like any other server would do to MAKE A SERVER WORK.  Again, the website doesn't need to be changed, because it was bought and paid for which means nlRO has rightful use of said website.  The patcher, that can also be changed, but again, how much can you change a patcher?  There is no way it won't look like some other servers at least in some small way, even if you made one from scratch.  Same with server content, all of the crap that is out there to make an RO server is reused data over and over and over again, countless times.  Which means, that no matter how much you change, your servers content will still in some small part resemble another server.  It is naive to believe that there can be a 100% custom RO private server.

@SanoGTX - Sorry, but no this thread won't be dismissed.  It is a legit report backed with legit evidence, and will therfore remain here in the Hall of Shame.
